Small Animals-Amigurimi Style

The Japanese translation for “Amigurumi” means little crochet doll and this is what we are going to make in this class.
We will start with the basic pattern and the embellish it for the occasion.
The picture shows a bat, but we can make just about anything.
These work up quickly and can be as simple or detailed as you like.

| Requirements: | Materials: Any weight yarn will do. The weight of the yarn will determine the size of the doll. For example, worsted weight yarn will make dolls approximately 7-9 inches tall. DK weight will make 5-7 inches, etc. Hook appropriate for yarn, If you are a loose crocheter than I would suggest one hook smaller than the yarn recommends. Darning needle . Colors are up to you. A few guidelines for the patterns being taught: The ghost and mummy will each require 1 skein of white yarn Most of the other dolls will use less than 1 skein of the colors |
